  • Material grade phosphorus de-oxidised copper; Cu-DHP or CW024A as defined in BS EN 1976
  • Minimum copper content 99.90% (including silver)
  • Phosphorus 0.015-0.040%
  • Total impurity maxima 0.060% (excluding phosphorus and silver)
  • The melting point of copper is 1083⁰ and it has a density of 8.9 gm/cc

Product Overview

Lawton Refrigeration Copper Tube is manufactured to EN 12735-1 for air conditioning and refrigeration applications. Available in both straight lengths and coils, the range is nitrogen purged, capped and supplied clean for refrigeration service. Sizes range from 1/4″ to 7/8″ (6.35mm to 104.775mm).

Installation Notes

  • Tube supplied clean, capped and nitrogen purged for refrigeration service.
  • Carbon content controlled to ≤ 0.38 mg/dm² for refrigeration applications.
  • Areas adjacent to brazed joints should be considered annealed (R220) when calculating maximum operating pressures.
  • Maximum operating pressures are based on EN 12735-1 tube characteristics.
